REALIZATION OF A WINE TASTING ROOM
QUINTA DO MONTE D'OIRO (PORTUGAL)

IDEAS COMPETITION

The design of a wine tasting room, immersed in the vineyards of a renowned Portuguese winery, starts with the identification of the essential reference element: the rows of vines, distinctive of each winery, but unique in their conformation. These rows form the basis of the subsequent design ideas.

The design, whose underlying concept is environmental integration, has allowed the development of a single unit set within a natural relief, with the panoramic exposure oriented towards the vines. For perfect harmonisation with the surrounding environment, numerous expedients were adopted, including the positioning of the load-bearing structures and the choice of construction materials closely linked to the territory.

The overall dimensions, around 60 m², combined with the meticulous design of the furnishings, made it possible to realise a space of exhaustive dimensions, welcoming and versatile, ideal for every type of event desirable.
